Human players may equip themselves with any number of the following upgrades, with a few exceptions: the Jet Pack and Battery Pack may not be used together and the Battlesuit may not be used with the Jet Pack, Battery Pack, Light Armour, or Helmet. Only one of any type of upgrade may be carried at a time. Upgrades that do not grant an intrinsic effect must be selected in the player’s inventory with the Next Upgrade and Previous Upgrade buttons and then activated with the Activate Upgrade button.

Medkit is basicly a one-time-use portable healer. Useful when poisoned, or at low health. Can be reloaded at Medistation.

When activated, it will disappear from your inventory and begin healing you at an exponentially increasing rate. Any health lost after activation, however, will not be replenished.

Grenades

The Battle Suit provides a significant defensive boost to the wearer’s entire body. Due to this coverage, theBattle Suit may not be used in conjunction with any other wearable upgrades (Light Armor, Helmet, Battery Pack, and Jet Pack).

  • Immunity to the gas that Advanced Basilisks' spray.
  • Immunity to the Basilisks' grab.
  • Users wearing a Battle Suit do not experience Chainguns' kickback.

Unfortunately, this comes with a price: lack of mobility and stealth. You cannot fit in some areas as easily while wearing a Battle Suit, nor can you crouch. The Battle Suit makes a loud thumping noise when moving, so it's rather hard not to let the aliens know you're coming unless you use the speed command to walk.

Battery Pack

Helmet

The helmet provides a human with a radar that updates more slowly than the native alien radar, and protects well against dretch headbites. Cannot be used with a battlesuit.

Cost: 90 credits.

Light armour

Light Armour is bought at a human armoury and it protects your body and feet, but not your head. You can't wear Light Armour while wearing a battlesuit.

If you want to buy Light Armour by pressing F3 (in place of F3 you can put whatever key you want to press) you can can type like this in the console:

bind F3 "buy larmour"

After you've typed that, every time you are close enough and facing an armoury and press the F3 key, then you will buy Light Armour for protection.

You don't need to use the F3 key. You can change it to any key you prefer. For example:

bind i "buy larmour"

will buy Light armour every time you press the i key.
